The rdx shares many parts with the civic. tsx is basically the accord in different sheet metal. it's actually european accord. Its possible for a small V6 to easily fit into the rdx, the current J35 3.5L V6 cannot. My hope is acura would design a rev happy small v6 for the rdx.

The J32 on the 2008 TL produced 258 horses @ 6200rpm. A new smaller v6 with 260hp @ 7000 rpm would be sweet! rev-happy short stroke engines are usually very good on gas but lack the low-mid range power. BMW however has small 6-cylindars that are both rev-happy and provide peak torque at low-mid range. maybe honda can work on this?

After seeing what GM Chevy can do with the electric hybrid concept, using the gas engine to charge the battery system, I think the hybrid system is the way to go in the near future. Especially seeing how much power Jaguar can squeeze into a pure electric powered sports car, I think it is a waste of money to change a car over the next couple of years. JMHO.

What is the point of changing another gasoline powered vehicle, only to realize the hybrids are now the thing to be driving. Also changing to a newer vehicle now is not going to make such a huge difference to gas consumption, in terms of real savings over the next 5 years. Trading in a current RDX, and purchasing a brand new model, will incur more cost than to own it for another couple of years, before changing it to a hybrid in the future.

Well put. Want to trade the RDX, but I promised myself I would keep it until it started to break.
