I have a Canadian model of the RDX w/ Tech package. The user's manual seems to discuss MP3/WMA mode - via the "DISP<->MODE" button. Does everyone else have the "DISP<->MODE" button? I don't have one on my stereo. Or is this button only on the US model? I'm not sure my stereo has the MP3/WMA mode.

I have a base model and found this botton a few days ago (thought the samething) - it's on the right near the top of the consol, but may be different for tech.

 

I believe that Disp/Mode is used for changing the display in XM from Category to Channel. I'm pretty sure I have that button since it took me a while to figure out why I suddenly couldn't scroll through all the XM channels anymore. Is XM offered in Canada? If not, there is your answer as to why the button doesn't exist.

 

well, again, on the base there is a button like that which allows you to cycle through track ifnromation for mp3 cds. It is hard to see and took me about a month and a half wondering whether there was a button that actually did what I wanted it to, so I'd say don't give up just yet.

Can always try the process of elimination and just hit every single button until you run out of options.

 

My manual doesn't mention the disp/mode button in the mp3/wma section for tech package. Just the XM Radio section. i think you are looking at the base model section in your manual. The tech package models don't use the disp/mode button for MP3/WMA because all the info is already displayed on the nav screen. Where the base model uses the button to toggle between different things.

Page 188 in the manual is for the base model.

Page 212 in the manual is for the tech package.

BTW the US base models have a "disp/mode" button while the canadian base has a "disp" button.

 

it is the Acura way for Canada - pay much more for less features.
