I like the looks of it but it doesn't really look like an SUV. It looks more like an over-sized wagon. Maybe I'm bias but I definitely feel like the RDX looks like a SUV. It could just be the angle of the pic as well. Price wise it seems as though the RDX has a good advantage.

I actually like it, but just can't get myself to buy an Audi anything. Too many friends/family with VW's and Audi's that have had nothing but trouble with them...especially with the electrical systems. But...a nice looking ride none-the-less.

we had one at our dealership for a local auto show. it really has nothing as far as looks in person. not attractive in any way visually. I had no opportunity to take it for a drive as it was just for the show though..... I wouldn't expect much drive wise, the 3.2 engine(3.1 litres in reality) is nothing special......

That's a premium price. It looks softer than the European version.

Mercedes has been really pushing their new $34K GLK mini-SUV, so Audi may have trouble at this price point.

Q5 has features which other small SUVs lacks. The best tow and best fuel economy/performance in its class. Q5 will also offer S Tronic transmission. Performance and fuel economy of manual but features of automatic.
http://www.canadiandriver.com/buyers...09/audi/q5.php
Standard or available features include 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels, single or automatic three-zone climate control, CD/MP3 stereo, 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, new Generation 3 Multi Media Interface (MMI), navigation system, bi-xenon headlamps, LED running lights, pushbutton start, Audi Side Assist, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, parking system with rearview camera, thermal heated and cooled cupholder, and power tailgate.

From that angle, it looks just like an RDX to me.

On another forum I saw a picture of the interior. VERY nice, I must say. First the EX, and now the Q5 have shown Acura what should be done on the inside of luxury vehicles. Not that the RDX is bad, but it is a bit plasticky and lacks an overall feel of refinement.

really?

its not buildable on Audi's website yet, at least not since yesterday....im curious to see what you actually get in the Audi base model...if its anything like the A4, my guess is not a whole lot for 38k+....

I dont know why some posted Q5 topic in RDX forum. RDX is unrefined piece of junk compared to Q5.
I should be only be compared to Acura RL/MB E/BMW 5 in refinement and MB ML class in offroad ability. Even much better than BMW X5.

http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/...TDI-Se/233838/
Audi Q5 3.0 TDI
Better is its refinement. Wind noise, road noise and engine noise are all as well-suppressed as they are on executive cars for the same money
http://fifthgear.five.tv/jsp/5gmain....3&desc=Audi+Q5
High quality materials are used throughout the Q5's cabin and there can be few doubts about the standard of the car's build

what doest make even more sense is why someone who is SO IN LOVE with Audi continues to post on an acura board, and now more specifically, an RDX BOARD, dont you belong in the TSX forum? and, what do you do all day, just search "Audi" on an acura board? time to leave.
