Anyone tinted the front windows?

I put 35 on the fronts to match the rears. it actually ends up slightly darker than the rear since the stock windows have a slight tint to them already....

I'm sorry, I mispoke before. I put 20 on the fronts not 35. The rears are 20 from the factory as well. So with the factory tint on the fronts, it is probably about 18 in front now compared to the 20 in back. I'll try to get some pics today, but the difference is slight so not sure if it will show up in pics. Nobody that has ridden in my car has noticed, and you can't really tell from outside the car unless you are really looking for it. I paid $100 to have them done. Not sure what brand film they used.

Sasair, I live in Northern Virginia too and I was just curious if it's allowed in our area to have the tinted windows?
BTW, it looks really good and thanks for posting pics!

So yes mine are not legal up front. I've had "illegal" tint on every car I have ever owned since I started driving in 1986, and have never been pulled over or ticketed for it. It used to be that the state inspection people took care of it by not passing you if your windows were illegal, but they have since taken that responsibility off the inspectors, and put it in the hands of the police. I don't think the police really mind, as long as you roll your windows down when they walk up to your car. I know I wouldn't want to be a cop walking up to a car I couldn't see inside. I always roll both drivers side windows down and put my hands on the steering wheel if I am ever pulled over, which I have been, and nothing has ever been said about the windows....

When I got mine tint last week, the person at the shop said the rear is 20. I have to use 35 because that's the max WA law allowed. I couldn't tell the difference from outside, just a slight difference looking from inside.

35 would look good too, but it would be noticeably lighter. My Camry has 20 in the rear and 35 up front, and while noticeably different, I think it looks good. But at the same time, having the 35 in the front of the camry is what made me want the 20 in front on the RDX. I just wanted it a little darker.

Next time you walk through a parking lot, take a look through other SUVs and mini vans and compare it to your RDX.

I had 35 llumar done in the front. From the inside it does look a bit darker, from the outside looking through to a white wall I cann't tell a difference. I paid $80.

Well, looks like you may already have yours done, but I did my front 2 windows w/ LLumar gray. It's rated 27 %, b/c that's as dark as you can go in CO! Now, if I'm not wrong, the lower the number, the darker the tint. Mine doesn't look as dark as Sasair's though, in some ways, and in others it looks darker? I'll have to get more inside / outside pics to compare. here is what I have now. Good luck...
(PS. on the next post, look up to the top to see through the window)

Lrpba....I can never see your photos. Try using photobucket or somewhere else besides yahoo. Yahoo does this on purpose so you can't serve up photos for any extended length of time.

Lrpba...I cannot see your photos either. I am also in Colorado Springs - I had my windows tinted at Quality Tint on South Academy and Chelton for $80 for both windows. I asked them to match my rear windows. They did a great job. There is very slight differnce. I think the fronts are darker- one friend said they though slightly ligher. At any rate, I found my receipt to find the exact tint and it did not give it. But, I was very pleased and everyone said it looks much better.

I have had RM do the windows on my last three acuras. This time I decided to go to Quality because I knew they would tint the fronts to match the rears. I have been very happy with the work they did and the match. RM is good, too. But I do not think they would have gone darker than the legal limit.
