TT&L vary (sometimes greatly) by state. I've always avoided the uncertainty by negotiating from out the door price, including every last dollar. How they assign fees I could really care less about. Having negotiated three purchases for cars on an out the door basis, it is amazing how they play with the numbers above the bottom line -- each dealership does it differently, but they all ultimately got to the number I wanted.

TT&L info is usually available on the state department of motor vehicles and/or taxation websites.

Every dealer I spoke to had a consistent story on the TT&L. It is not a secret.

It doesn't have the exact fees, per se, but it has a whole lot of good information about the fees and everything else.

Why don't you research it yourself?

Call the Texas branch for motor vehicles and pose the question to them.

Call your dealer and ask them.

Call another dealer and ask them.

Or do what I do most days when I want to know the answer to something - google the hell out of the topic until you finally find your answer.
