Anyone have >100 KMs or >60K miles on their RDX

I am planning on buying a used 07 RDX tech in the next few weeks. Currently it has 45000 Kms or 28000 ish Miles. Since I like to drive, I can easily put over 100000Kms on it. Since it is a turbo, what problems do you forsee for driving an RDX with this many miles? Would you current RDX owners consider selling yours prior to that mileage?

I have "moved" away from Acura since owning 4 previous models but since I am looking for best bang for the buck and relatively decent costs for repairs, I am looking into the RDX.

Thanks for the input folks.

I have 56000 miles on mine 2007 RDX Tech. Got it year and falf ago had 41000 miles.
Car still kick strong no problem.
Do change oil, tranny, Transfer case oil every 30000 miles SHAWD every 15000 miles.
I don't think I want to sell it because the mileage.
Just put Hondata Reflash last week it boost better then stock.
I'm ASE mechanic. I see customers ( Sales Man) with honda accord 2.4L 4 cyl. has 200.000 miles come for service. Car still going strong It is good engine.
Good Luck

I just passed 77,777 miles today! So far, no issues. I'm on my 3rd set of tires. It didn't need brakes until this week's 75,000 check up, and it was only front pads.

That's it! So far, so good.

The main thing with turbo engines is to be religious about oil changes and checks....I only have 30K miles, so I can't speak about the high mileage ones, but if it makes you feel any better I am planning to keep the car for as long as possible....

For sure. I already use synthetic on my current car and will never go back to regular oil. I guess since I am purchasing a used RDX that is Acura certified, the powertrain warranty is extended to 160000kms or 100000 miles. Would anyone know if the turbo and it associated parts are covered as well for this extended duration? Or is it just the major engine components such as the crank, pistons, etc.

thanks

It's not just about Synt or conventional oil....turbo engines run way hotter than regular engines, and they tend to "cook" the oil. That's why it's important to CHECK the oil and change it on schedule.

other than the turbo going....id have no fear in purchasing a (used) RDX for the longhaul. yea, the turbo is an integral part of the car & would be my main concern....but all i can say is there hasnt really been an uprising of horror stories about the turbo unit in the Acura. Compare that to the CX-7 and id say its a safe bet that if there was going to be a reliability issue, we sure as shit would have heard of SOMETHING by now, by way of this board, or in general media or forums. The RDX has been out for quite a while, and im sure people all over have put on well over 100k...not hearing about anything regarding the turbo is comforting

I'm not over 60k miles yet but almost there with 53k miles (60% highway, 40% city) (21.6 mpg total average from day one) . We bought it new on Sep 06 destined to be our main family car, and even up until this day we don't regret it one bit. Zero problem with the engine, turbo, transmission, AC/heat, and SH-AWD. All of them still works, sounds, feels like the day we bought her 3 years ago. Few little rattles does start to appear here and there (depends on the road, temperature, etc), but I totally expect that from a vehicle with over 50k miles anyways. One day when I have time, I'm going to pull some of the interior parts out and try to tighten a few stuff to stop the rattle. Don't get me wrong though, the rattles are nothing major, just that I'm a bit picky so every little faint rattle bothers me.

She's definately a keeper and we're planning to keep her for a while.
