hey thanks for the link. I just joined the list because I am seriously considering the RDX to replace our Grand Cherokee in June and want to see what owners have to say.

We also did a comparison between the rdx and the x3 today.

Looking forward to reading it. I may be kind of biased, but I think the RDX is a great choice for this type of vehicle. We were also considering some of the cars on your list, but decided on the RDX.

Very cool flags. And BTW I've been to 25+ PJ shows or so

Can I ask if you opted for the tech package? I didn't really think it was that useful but like the stereo.

One interesting addendum is that the article compares base RDX against base X3 for price and many of us are getting RDX Techs consistently for invoice or less which is close to the price of the base RDX. In the end I figured, option for option, I saved well over $10K for my RDX tech compared to a similarly configured X3 - and probably close to $13K or $14K.

i agree with the review except his position to pass on the tech package. i say just the opposite! anyone interested in the rdx, you should give the tech package serious consideration. it is well worth the extra bucks.

Nice! Do you park it on the street or in a garage? I'm in a garage on 110th St. Just got my RL back from the bodyshop thanks to an overzealous parking attendant. Hoping to get 3M on the RDX and I will continue to use the foam nose and bumper guards on my car.

I currently have an 05 RL which I am trading in on Monday (4PM) for a black/black tech RDX. I do lots of Car stuff in Manhattan, usually with my Corvette tho.

* "To Serve and Protect"

* Emil's 430

* View of the Z from the 430s cockpit

The 430 in Times Square

The man behind the 430 (and the camera)

* The other LMB Z

Some of the cars in TS

Tourists went nuts over the cars, we all let them pose and even lean on the cars to get shots.

great pics! since my office is in the city (& i only need my rdx once or twice a week); i park it at a friend's place across the river in weehawken for $20 a month! plus, i'm not ready to park it on nyc's streets or allow parking attendants to squeeze it within a quarter of an inch next to some one's beat up old heap.

great choice! i have the black / black tech with auto mirror too. i plan to add running boards on my first maintenance visit.

JB - $20/mnth sure beats the $500/mnth it costs me to park both cars I've given up on trying to keep my dailydriver (the RL now the RDX) pristine, and have resigned myself to the fact that Manhattan destroys these cars. But I use my car everyday for work (live in NYC work in Westchester), so I have no choice.

I'm planning on doing the mirror and having 3M put on the car. Also I need to figure out some way to secure stuff in the cargo area -- I've noticed there are no tie-downs.

RDXowner - I own a C6 Z06

Backseat? This is a 200mph car, not one to haul around your dog or kids That's why I have the RL! It does however attract this:

There are 4 tie downs and two hanger bars in the rear cargo area of the RDX if that's the vehicle you were referring to...

Yes, I think I saw 2...but nothing on the actual deck, right? There were 2 chrome latches in front of the wheel wells iirc. Where are the other 2?

two just inside the tailgate on either side, and two at the base of the backrests of the back seats on either side. all four not on the rear deck, but at rear deck level. the hanger bars of course are up high.

The LATCH (child seat) anchors on the backs of the rear seats are also useful tie-downs, especially when the seats are folded down. And when the seats are down, the catches are also available as tie downs, one on each side.

The lambo, 360, and myself were having a little fun and passed the pictured cop doing 120+ in a 35 on New Years Day.

A fellow jammer! Nice!! I did get the tech package, because it added things I thought I would use, especially Bluetooth and Navi. I'm glad I did choose it, because I really do use both of these features.
