Allow me to reintroduce myself.. (prospective 07 RDX purchase)

Been lurking around for about the last week ever since reclaiming my memberhsip to AZ..

Well, I havent been on the forum in about 3 years, ever since I let go of my 07 CGP TSX w/ Nav. And, darnit I've been missing that car since..

Ended up getting a 03 G35 sedan after the TSX (May '08), which I then traded in for a 04 X3 in May of 2010.

OKAY, now for the meat of the post: The X3 is reaching 140,000 miles by June and I need a replacement. I considered the IS350, a G35, but then realize how many people have them and that in itself turned me off after a while. Then, suddenly I remembered the good ole days..the Acura Days.. and after some research, I have decided on the RDX. Its the perfect mix of sport, utility, and reliability that I came to adore in the X3 (minus the sport and reliability ). I am looking for a 07 w/ Tech w/ under 50k miles. I have seen that these go for anywhere from $19,5-$22,5 in South Texas (San Antonio).

I have done some lurking so I feel pretty confident in pursuing this purchase, but just wanted a final professional opinion from the trusted community. Also, havent seen many 07 posts recently, so just need an update.

SO PLEASE CHIME IN WITH YOUR INPUT ON THIS PROSPECT! I appreciate the responses in advance.

BTW, I am a 22 year old, obtaining bachelors degree in 3 weeks. I dont haul around too many friends, but do alot of highway driving as a I have a small business to tend to. And, on the weekends I love just cruising around NE SA. Reliability and Fun-to-drive-ness are my main objectives. Sorry for rambling..

I have one, just over 60K. What do you need/want to know? great little car, not a single significative issue/problem with the car. It goes, and turns well. Downside is fuel economy.
I think that your trouble will be finding something under 50K, they are 5-6 years old now.

Opinions? get one!

I'm somewhat of a calm driver, a little spirited on the highways.. but nothing that pushes the car to its limits. What i hate about the x3 is how hi-reving it is..freaking 3k RPM at 70MPH. I get about 17 MPG as of right now, so anything will be better than that Im sure lol. I just need a dependable vehicle, a good sound system, and something that is different and i feel like the RDX fits the bill! I found a 07 w/ tech, w/ 40k miles for 21,9. How does that sound?

thanks for the reply!

I don't know about numbers, but I daresay it sounds pretty decent.
I have averaged 19mpgs in four years of ownership, I don't know how fast the engine will be spinning at 70, but this the RDX only has a 5 speed transmission, so......
BTW, what is that, certified/dealer/pp?

Shame about your X3. BMW really failed with that one. My friend has one and it's always in the shop.

I picked up a 2007 Tech about a year and a half ago and still love it. I paid about $20k at the time and it had around 45k miles on it. I would think you could get a better price now. I average around 19-20 mpg in mine. I'm in the DFW area btw.
