Aftermarket wheels

Now that fall is upon us and the snow has already arrived in some mountain passes,
I am starting to think about winter tires.
I keep reading on all Acura written material that they say that you should use Acura wheels because of the TPMS. Would be interested to hear from those who have installed aftermarket wheels if there are any issues with the TPMS and what wheels brands work well with the RDX.I may be looking at putting winter tires on the current OEM wheels and get nicer 18" inch wheels for other than winter driving. At some point when the All Seasons wear out, I would replace them with Summer performance tires.
Regarding winter tires, I am looking at Bridgestones Blizzaks DM-Z3 or MIchelin Latitude X-Ice. Has anyone had experience with those ones or any other ones on the RDX?

Hey casa7,

Here's an old thread that I went through when researching winter tires:

RDX Winter Tires

I'm also interested in hearing what others would recommend for wheels. Did you buy a whole new set of sensors?

I got the Blizzaks DM-Z3 and mounted them on the OEM wheels. The Michelin X-ice were very scarce last year in the OEM size so my decision on the Blizzaks was a no brainer. They were great in the little bit of snow and ice that we got last year. I bought new sensors for my my summer wheels. A little pricey for the sensors but they work fine on the new wheels.

Almost time to switch the wheels again for the season.
