as years go on with Acura & Honda, I grow fonder of their older models and older vehicles I owned. The last 2 generations of Honda/Acura, altho some stuff is better, most of it has gone no where or regressed. Sooner or later, its will catch up with them. Still a 5 speed? Same engine? Alllllll these years gone by and STILL no options? Just cant do that anymore. I know their sales say different, but you have to believe that may change.

I find it harder and harder to justify NEW purchases with both Acura and Honda when you compare the old model to the "new" model.

My first impression is the VW Tiquan would be a better choice than the Honda CR-V. Is Honda trying to be the Japanese version of GM Buick? Even Buick doesn’t want to be Buick.

My 74 year old in-laws are in a market for a new vehicle and the CR-V was 1st on their list because it looked safe, reliable, simple and it didn’t have all that fancy techie stuff like our RDX.

Honda has lost me. Acura coming in close 2nd. Every day im happier I own my 08. Wish i still had the 07, but the 08 is good enough. Never thought I'd get nostalgic about a 2008 lol. One thing I will say, though, is that FINALLY, Honda made an interior in the 2012 CRV that is NOT glitzy, glowing cheap & terrible. The dark burled trim from Acura and from the looks, very similar dash to the TSX/Acura family. FINALLLLLLY they cut out stupid glowing things, buttons, and shiny plastic everywhere....except at the expense of 2 screens, just in case you needed more information lol I am not a fan of the larger than life sun dial for the speedometer and the driver stack in general, hope that is cut out for the RDX.
