2011 RDX Breaks

2011 RDX Breaks

Hello All- New to the Acura line and i am a DIY kinda guy. do you have to change the rotors when changing break pads? i always had to do on my Saab. thank you

If your rotors are not worn or all rusted out, why would you? They can be turned once if they are slightly warped. My 2 cents.

Unless the rotors are badly warped, deeply scored or below minimum thickness, there is no reason to replace them. Rotors can / may need to be turned if they are warped, but you should be good to go after that.

When I replaced my brakes a couple of years ago on the RDX, I took the rotors to a local shop where they inspected them and resurfaced them for $5 each.

You really don't have to change the rotors unless they are badly messed up.
Change the pads to a ceramic set.....night and day difference way better that the stock ones.
Lots of choosings on the Bay for pad n rotors for under 150 too
