2009 rdx?

Hi everyone,

I hoping you guys could help me out with a few questions. I currently drive an SI and I'm planing on purchasing a 09 RDX soon. It seems like most dealers here in North Jersey are asking around 23k-25k/base for 09 RDX's with 30,000 - 40,000. I hoping to get one for 21k-22k. Does that seem like a reasonable offer? Or would you start lower/higher? Also, is the Tech package worth it? I've searched endlessly on what people are currently paying for an 09 rdx and have had zero success. Any pricing info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced of the help.

I'll say if you are buying new, the tech package is not worth it. Buying used, go for the tech package. Depending on the seller and mileage of the vehicle, the tech package could cost any where from $0 to $1200 compared to the base model.

There is no difference between a 08 RDX and 09 RDX except a higher starting price for the 09. I would widen my search to include 08 & 09 (it will be very hard to find an 07 under 40,000 miles). You might find an 08 Tech at the same price of an 09 base.

Just bought a certified '09 RDX tech with 27k miles for $25k out the door. Vehicle is in perfect condition.
We looked for months for a cert. RDX with no success (auto trader, called dealers, etc.)... Somewhat over the RDX we went to a dealership outside of Philly on Saturday to see a '09 TL w. 34k, left Friday after hours of talking, negotiating, credit check, etc. on the TL (they were closing and it was new years eve). Over the weekend we changed our minds from the TL to a RDX we saw on their website and went back on Tuesday and insisted on the same deal on the RDX.... We left with the RDX that night

You need to find a dealership/ used car manager that is motivated... Your not their to make friends.

Any questions or the name of the dealership, let me know.

2009 has 4-way power passenger seat that the 2007-2008 models don't have and slightly newer navigation map if the original owner didn't bother to buy an updated DVD.

I'm in Northern NJ and I'll sell my 09 RDX tech at 23K miles to you for that price, but I wouldn't be able to take your car as trade or offer you financing lol...

Thanks for all the feed back! Yes need more room than my SI. Have a 7 month old and 100+ Lab and the Si just isn't cutting it. Love my Si thought, it's an 07 sedan with 43,000 miles. Should make for a nice trade at the stealership. 03jamescls, seems like you got a nice deal, probably makes you enjoy the RDX even more! I think I'm pretty set on an 09, but still can't decide if I want the tech. Is the stereo really that much better? I'll use my phone for nav and the camera is a nice feature but not needed. The premium stereo in my Si sounds decent. I'm have a tough time finding RDX's at non-Acura dealerships and feel I might get more on a trade-in from them with my honda. It's funny, ever since I test drove the RDX before we bought my wife's Murano I've been hooked on it. Just wasn't big enough for her.

I got the 08 tech package because of the Navi with traffic and the back-up camera. The ELS system has more power and it really sounds great with Audio DVDs. Good luck finding more than 2 audio DVD anywhere on this planet you want to listen to all the time. My wife either listens to XM or just connects her iPhone and either listens to stored music or streams internet radio using the AUX connector. I haven't found the need to add an iPod kits, the AUX works fine for us.

I think the 09 RDX tech package give you:
Back up camera
Navi (calendar with reminders, trip computer display, calculator, audio screen, verbal feedback, etc...)
XM Traffic
XM Weather (Not 100% sure about this on 09 RDX)
Sun Sensor Auto climate control
Additional voice commands for A/C and Navi
10 speaker 410 watts ELS system

I use 80% of tech package everyday (don't have weather). The voice commands do come in handy when you are out of town and you need to "find the nearest grocery store" or "ATM" or "Restaurant". I like the tech package.
