2008 RDX?

Looks like they may be going towards a more rugged young sporty look if this is any indication. This is obviously a concept model as I don't see any door handles on the thing and the front windshield looks heavily tinted.

Photo taken at the Acura Design Studio in Torrence California that just opened up in May. I wonder what is under the cover in the background....

Cool, were you visiting CA recently? It should be an interesting next year or so for Honda & Acura, with updated models coming out.

I was at the dealer last night to pick up my TSX from its 40k service, and saw someone getting schooled in their new RDX. I always find that exciting, even if it's not me.

I like the color.

Probably more like 2010 RDX.

Very nice. I especially like the streamlined hood and grille.

Brakes are huge and have slotted rotors. Don't see that making it to production.

Aside from the color and the front bumper, it doesn't look much different from the current car, to my eyes. Is this a prototype of the next RDX or a prototype of the current RDX?

Damn, I have a decision at EOY to buy the new Infiniti EX35 or the RDX. I like the looks of the EX35 more than the current RDX, but if they would have released the RDX with this body, I wouldn't even have a decision, RDX all the way.

I'm not sure if it is an old prototype or new, but I'd have to guess new. They just opened the new Acura Design Studio and they have only a few cars in their showroom. I doubt they'd put an old prototype in there. More interesting is the two door sporty car pictured in front of the RDX.....

I just spent 10 minutes going back and forth between this pic and a pic of the RD-X concept. It's the same car except this one has real mirriors.

My gues is that this is the link between the original concept car and what we actually got. They are using the same wheels and front end, the only difference I can see is outside mirrors and the original concept is silver.

You're absolutely right. I wonder why they didn't just put a production RDX in there rather then an old prototype. Guess they just had it sitting around and decided to put it to use.

That looks like the (really) old CL coupe prototype there, if I'm not mistaken.

Because it is a design studio and they are displaying examples of their concepts.
