2008 or 2010
So I'm still on a look out for a decent mileage RDX.
I found one for $16k 2008 with 36k miles and a 2010 RDX 36k miles for $21k. Is the $5k worth it? I'm getting the different body style and warranty. Which one would you do if you have 7k for a down payment

wow that is cheap! where did you find these??
last month in bay area I had choose between tech 2008 with 70k miles and non-tech 2010 with 49k miles. Both $24k.
Eventually I decided to go with the younger one, since I don't do any off-roading I didn't care much about SHAWHD.

No SH-AWD = No FUN^The super handling is what makes this little beast tame in the corners. Without it, you might as well be driving a RAV4.
OP, if you are going to keep it for a while (5+yrs) Spend less, get same bang for buck.

Something must be up with that 2010. With that mileage they are going for 25-26K. We bought ours a month ago for 25K with 44k miles CPO. I would bet it has been in an accident or something very shady is up with it.
I like the 07-09's better because the grille isn't as fugly
on them like the newer ones.

I do like the rear bumper on the 2010s. But I guess I can do that on my own anyways. im leaning toward the 2008 but still unsure because the 2010 would be under warranty for at least a year through acura
^ Rear bumper of my RDX is the only thing most people see anyhow!
If you dont plan on doing the hondata reflash then get the 2010 because it has a handfull of little upgrades like footwell lighting, weather on xm, auto headlights, USB jack, bluetooth audio, lines on backup camera, console tray, and I believe a note function for the XM radio. Revised brakes, wheels, bumpers, grill, hatch, exhaust.
I always liked the 07-09 body style over the +10 RDX. I would factor in how long you are going to keep the vehicle. The longer you keep it after it is paid off equals more money saved over time. I have both my 06 TSX and 08 RDX paid off and this is saving me A LOT of cash each month. Other than gas, insurance and routine maint are my monthly expense with both vehicles (105,000 miles on TSX and 94,000 miles on RDX). We are using the savings to add a MDX to our stable in 2014 and pass down the TSX to my son on his 16th birthday next March. We also did additional landscaping around the house, purchased a home gym, and replaced carpet with tile around the house because of no car payment.
The 08 and 10 RDX will last you +120,000 miles; but, the extra $5000+interest in savings with the 08 could go toward some very nice vacations, bills, home improvement, etc...

That is what I was thinking originally.
I guess if I ever want a 2010+ RDX then I can easily trade in a low mileage 08 and just pay the difference once I have no car note.

Well I figured out why the 08 was cheap. The car had been in a accident and the dealer tried to hide it since they havent changed the title on Carfax yet.
Its a rebuilt title so thats a no go.
Found a 07 RDX 120k miles for a real good price though. wondering if I should take the risk

120k is alot of miles if its a DD your keeping for 2 years or more. Shoot for >50 miles so you have the option of selling w/80k to >100k miles in 2 or 3 years and not being upside down. With cars older than 5 years it is harder to finance, add in six figure miles and you lose more value because most buyers would have to pay cash.

I dont plan on selling it. I plan on driving it till it dies.
Is this a bad idea? 11.5k with full service records, one owner, and in good condition. Tech AWD 07

Yeah. I made a thread about high mileage rdx before and agreed that a one owner with full service records high mileage is better then a low mileage 60-80k with no service records and several owners.

guess i have to wait even longer for one.
haven't found any rdx's i liked for nearly a year.
The car was good, but they wouldn't agree with me on price even though 'they did' on the phone/emails

I read where Edmunds has the first years depreciation on an RDX Sh-AWD at $9000!!!!! I am thinking 4 years old is the sweet spot to buy. I am waiting until the 14's hit the street for another $2000 discount. The one I have been looking at has been sitting for 8 months. Probably because there is no Acura dealer within 100 miles.
Even the 2WD was a hoot to drive though, Don't need 4WD. No snow no twisties and I have a bike that when I want those thrills I will ride east and get them.
I think $24900 is High for a 2WD 2010 w Nav. I don't like Stock NAV, Garmin much better,
MY advice,Buy the Lower priced model and it will be much easier to seel when you want something else later on. It's STILL and Acura, 99% of other drivers don't know or care about what year it is, Just enjoy it and put the $5000 to much better use,
