I've got a 2007 RDX with around 71k and it is now out of Acura factory warranty. However, I've got the problem with my key sticking out of the key fob when it is retracted and it really bugs me since it'll switchblade open the key in my pocket throughout the day when the key gets stuck on something else in the pocket.

I just discovered that there is a technical service bulletin out for that exact problem and Acura should replace the key free of charge under the factory warranty terms. Do you think I'd have any chance of still getting it done for free, even though my warranty is expired, because they've issued the TSB ?

I never knew there was a TSB for this? I just assumed this was normal for both of my keys for our 08 RDX.

just buy a new key and have the dealer program it, I dont see them fixing this for free.

I thought it was normal wear. Didn't know there was a TSB and I don't remember when this started to occur. I would disagree about "rough use" as stated in the TSB. Not like I take it out during a bar fight.
