2007 RDX Headlight Replacement Doesn't Fit
Hi Everyone,
This is really frustrating. Every car website I go to for replacement headlight (low beam) bulbs tells me I need a "D2S" bulb. I ordered two online but when they got here they were nothing like the bulbs I have in there now. The socket size was wrong and the electrical connector was wrong.
Can someone point me to the proper replacement bulb? Also, is there any easy conversion I can do to make them brighter? The installed headlights are dim and I can barely see the road.
Thanks!

I did the OSRAM D2S CBI Cool Blue Intense Xenon HID Headlight Bulbs 5000K (Two Bulbs), $95.95, Amazon, and I am very happy with the results compared to OEM HIDs:
Other than having to take the front bumper off and pulling out the headlight; the OSRAM connected up within few minutes once I took everything apart. I just had to make sure the long grounding rod that runs the length of the HID bulb is pointing down towards the ground for proper seating in the headlight.
Equally as good and sometimes 1/2 the price are the Morimoto XB D2S HIDs in the 4500k range: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...to-xb-hid.html
I would stick with a brightness range of 4300k min and 5000k-5500k max for the low beam HIDs. The 4300k is what the OEM HIDs range is and it will look more in the yellow range (like warm light bulbs you have around the house). The 5000k is closer to pure white and might even look a touch blue as you move up to 5500k (like Cool light bulbs). Anything above 5500k will look more blue and move towards the purple range and start to look really dim behind the wheel.

It's probably because you have a non-HID equipped RDX!! I believe H11 is the bulb? What does the old bulb say

If you are in Canada, then no RDX ever came without HID's (or LED's in the case of 2016+ models). I know in the states the 2013-2015 RDX only had HID's on the tech package...I don't think the 1G RDX ever har halogens. I could be wrong.

All 07-12 RDXs in Canada and USA came with D2S HID bulbs. I think the OP is shopping by price instead of quality. There are a lot of cheap HIDs for under $25 and you get what you pay for. I would stick with OSRAM, Moritomo, or Phillips for replacements.
