2007 RDX Driver's Seat Adjustment problem
Either there is a problem with the driver's seat of my 2007 RDX Tech, or there is a feature I am not aware of!
I am fairly short, so I keep the seat up pretty close. However, for work I park at a garage that uses attendents, and the taller ones usually need to move it back.
The problem is this- sometimes, for no apparent reason, the seat will not move back any further than where I have it set for myself. Again, this isn't really an issue for me, but other drivers will have problems with it. It will move forward and then back to where it was; but no further. When this has happened in the past it goes away and then can go back all the way, and seems to work that way for weeks, until it once again only goes part of the way back.
I can't find anything in the owner's manual that would seem to suggest that it is doing this for a reason. Any thoughts?

It will either work perfectly at the dealership, or they will find that Barry Manilow/ Green Day Holiday Concert CD you got for Christmas jammed in the track.
Next they could check for continuity in the Power Seat Adjustment switch between "slide switch--backward" terminals 7+8 and 10+11. Poor continuity = new switch.
Or they should apply separate battery power to the "slide motor--backward" terminals 7(+) and 11(-) at the 12P connector on the seat. Motor runs poorly or stops = new motor.
Or they will look for "opens" in the seat wire harness.
Good luck, let us know.

Thanks for the responses! The rails are clear (as is my CD collection of any Barry Manilow!!). With those specific directions on switches I should be able to have the dealer check it out soon.
