2007 Acura RDX With Tech Pckage

Hello All,
I have an 07 Acura RDX with the tech package. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to Reset the TPMS system since i cannot find the button anywhere on the dash?? My TPMS system light just came on and it shows 4 dashes for each tire on the display. It came on the other day since its been pretty cold in NY lately.

Thanks,
J74

Are you getting a TPMS System Error on the little screen under your speedometer? This seems like it could be caused by a couple different components of the TPMS system, but is most commonly just one of the individual sensors failing. I've been having that same error intermittently for the past few months in my '11 RDX, and will be having my mechanic replace all four sensors next service to see if that resolves the issue.

Hi Yes, Get The TPMS error message, and everything I have read says to try and reset it but cannot find the reset!!

Have you checked the tire pressure? This may help if pressures are correct.

First do you have stock wheels, tires, and sensors. Second have you used fix a flat, plugged, or patched the tires. Third are the tire pressures on all tires set the pressure recommended on the drivers door sill if stock wheels and tires. Fourth if aftermarket wheels and tires are the pressures set to the tire specifications on pressure. Let me know, thank you!

Thanks,

Tire pressure is all set properly to door placard.
No fix a flat and no aftermarket rims..
I was actually able to get a tpms scanner and reset the system, it did show the left front sensor battery low.So I guess I will have to replace that sensor eventually.

Thanks,
J74

Sad part is, if one is failing, the others are soon to follow. Glad you got it taken care of.

Yes unfortunately that's the truth. Does anyone have recommendations on which ones are best to install ? I see lots of aftermarket ones out there to buy.

Thanks,

Seems to be a consistent issue at about the 10 year mark for many hondas. I am planning on having all of mine replaced at the same time to avoid dealing with it again.

Honestly at 10+ years I'll just go OEM. They're only about $35 each. The ones in my previous car all died before 4 years.

DENSO 5500206 at Rock Auto; ~$27/each, I've bought 12 Densos in the past couple years- 4x for my 4Runner and 8x for my RDX (two sets of rims) and all have been faultless. Install them and drive away; no reset/programming required.
