HI All,
I have an 07 RDX and a very loud creaking noise when turning the wheel left to right. This happens when not moving and also moving! Others On here have posted the same issues but I have not found a resolution.
It seems to be coming through the firewall/ steering column area as if there was a steering boot rubbing etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to rule out all possibilities, have you listened under the hood while someone else turns the wheel? It may help you pinpoint the noise.

Hi yes I have definitely sounds like it's coming from the column area or rack

Thanks but it does with the car off to I noticed.

Have you done any work on the car recently? Does it also creak when going over bumps or is it strictly from turning the wheel?

Only creaks when Turing the wheel. No work has been done recently.

Going from cheap to much less cheap... I would check the PS fluid, then look at the tie rods, then move on to the rack.

Does the steering wheel have a lot of play in it?

No play in wheel I was able to lube up down by the column and it stopped. Thanks
