From 2005 FX35 to 2009 RDX
Just purchased a 2009 RDX and traded in a 2005 FX35. First impressions :
1. Much better visibility in the RDX.
2. Even though I have read comments on the RDX's cheap interior (I don't happen to agree) it is far better than the materials in the FX35. We had dash bubbles (common problem) and the drivers seat side panel disintegrated.
3. Three days after the warranty expired the muffler system perforated and Infinity would not stand behind it. Had a 2003 Acura TL S with tranny replaced out of warranty no questions asked. My experiences with Acura much better than Infinity.
4. I feel no loss of power other than the FX had a noted lag when stepping on the gas. I will grant that the FX with a 6 cylinder is smoother.
5. Ride and suspension are very similar. Seats are more bolstered in the FX35 but RDX seats are very comfortable. Storage and convienience
better in RDX.
6. Although the FX is beautiful it is not nearly as functional as the RDX.
Try to get in an FX on the passenger front when the seat is all the way forward. Difficult.
7. I feel there is more functional cargo space in the RDX than the FX.
So far absolutely no regrets.

Weclome to Acura!!
The FX styling seemed to lean more on the sport side compared to utility. Check into the Hondata reflash of your ECU for about $300+shipping. It will get you about the same or a little more HP/TQ number of your FX35.
