So what are you asking us for? you aren't planning to figure it out or do anything about it on your own
then why waste our time? I guess let us know what they find.

The purpose of this thread is to document what I'm going through with the vehicle.

If anything goes wrong, I post about it here pretty much immediately.

As of now, all is working like normal...

I'm trying to gather ideas because no one knows how to work on this thing... Even the dealer messes up occasionally..

If I can get some other RDX owners that have had similar issues in here and post about it, I may be able to "get closer" to solving the problem so that I can help guide it to a proper repair.

Like the window actuators... I knew that was the problem, yet the dealer was all like, "It's thw motor and regulator"...

Many other RDX owners have reported window actuator issues and this is how I can pretty much confirm my suspensions...

I'll tell the dealer to check the main grounds...

J, didn't this happen to your TL-S?

but what's the point, you're not a mechanic. Let the mechanics figure it out.
This isn't documenting, this is you having an issue and asking a question
You just stated you would do nothing with the responses.

Yes, my TL-S had a ground issue due to previous owner replacing the oem ground with speaker
grade wiring.

I think I may have found the problem...https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-rdx-...-start-680923/

I'm experiencing a CEL/Transmission light for the range sensor....

Maybe this is "along" the lines of nuetral safety switch?

It started after the tow, just like the guy in this thread I liked...

If it fails to start again, I'll push the shift interlock button or run the shifter from P-S back and forth a few times to agitate the connection and *hopefully* get it to work...

But the linked thread is my exact issue.

To do list.

1. Address Range Sensor issue.
2. Address A/C issue
3. Change engine oil
4. Get tires

The dealer ordered a range sensor to have in stock if I need it.

Will have that and all of the following addresses next Wednesday.

At the dealer now, waiting on all of the maintenance and a tire quote. I got another tore quote for Michelin Premiers for $986 out of the door, but I perfer my dealer to do it since I will also be getting an alignment there...

I also licked a pole in the back passenger corner nothing scratch out can't fix!

I keep buying Brigestone Turanza Serenity Plus for the same amount of money out of the door which last time lasted me more than 70K miles last time. excellent tire.

My current Bridgestone Duhlers have lasted me about 90K miles... They were almost new when I bought the RDX with 175K miles three years ago, but I did have to replace one tire at 180K because of a nail in the inner sidewall.

They're OK, but don't really grip enough for the vehicle...

I hope to get about the same out of the Michelins... I mainly drive highway....

I would go with what you know. OEM michelines were the worst, only got 25k miles out of them.

I know... I'm not getting the MXM4 or whatever that is....

The Premiers are highly rated and rate for an average life of about 60K miles.....

The A/C issue was the relay, or atleast we're 90% sure! Should be good!

Also having the O-Ring in the steering replaced "finally" to fix the humming pump I've had simce I got the RDX... Walker Acura told me it was the rack AND the pump, they're full of BS there!

I had a bad belt tensioner I didn't know about, did that too...

Also, replaced the range sensor.... Waiting on the wash now... It's dirty, taking them a while!

Also... My battery terminal IS good! It's corroded because the 100 month battery from Walker Acura from 2017 is leaking acid... They cleaned it, but I hope to have that battery replaced... The receipt faded, so we'll see how that goes...

Otherwise, all looks good!

4th of July sales today...
on discounttiredirect...you can get some crazy deals if you're not too lazy to use their credit card to pay (then pay off immediately after)
and turn in the rebates.

Ordered the Premiers... Was supposed to be installed today... They only were delivered two by their supplier, so rescheduled for tomorrow....

But... This happened!

Damn, 265,000 miles that pretty good...I hope you got all your issues resolved.

My dealership works with me on a extremely friendly basis...I get a lot of work done there that normally other people aren't allowed too.

Cool

Wow, I cant wait for you to send that 300,000 mile picture!

Yeah, I have dealerships (1) 2 miles away, (2) 12 miles away, & (2) 13 miles away in my county.

I go to the furthest one in my county away around 13 miles because the service there is the best.

Are those all Acura dealers? That's a lot of local dealers.

Where are you? That's insane!

There is one Acura dealer per metro area of 500K+ in my part of the country. Therefore, 4 within 1-3 hours drive each way out.

Each major city has about three Honda dealers on average, and every decent sized town between usually has one.

The dealer I go to is actually in a rather small town I used to live in for two years and I just kept going there because I love that dealer so much even though it's 150 miles away.

But generally, it's one Acura and Lexus dealer per metro area down here.

I'm currently living on the Mississippi coast, but I'm from New Orleans.

NOLA has a dealer 5 minutes from where the RDX lives when I don't have it with me but I hate that dealer. There's another dealer an hour away in Baton Rouge. One in Jackson, Mississippi (only Acura dealer in Mississippi) and another in Mobile, Alabama.

From there the closest dealers are in Texas, near Houston.

But still, that's not that bad and actually pretty good.

Some people are four hours from the nearest Acura dealer and much further from the next dealer.

What's it like in New York?

Not too bad where I live, although I never take my car to a dealer. One about 15 mins from home, one about 5 mins from work, one about 25 miles away on the other side of town (that also runs the website oemacuraparts.com), and if I really want to go for a drive there's one a couple hours away in Tucson.

Wow, congrats Midnight. I just turned 57k on my 2011. For me to get to your mileage, I would basically have to drive the RDX for 50 some odd additional years. I do not think I will live to be that old. Plus, they will have flying cars or transporters or something else by then. How long are you going with this vehicle. And why do you drive so much?

I have no plans to get rid of it. Maybe drice it to 400-500K then have it repainted and garage it like 4cruzin did with his Legend.

I live out of state and the primary driver brings it to me during the week. We usually take it out of state again during this time.

I also have all of my maintenance done 2+ hours away where I used to live, and I also never do short trips.

I've been having more and more parts fixed over the years so it's actually driving better and smoother now than it did when we got it 3 years ago.

FWIW, before I bought my 2007 with 151K on it, I called a local shop that specializes in Honda/Acura. We have done a fair amount of business with them. The service manager assured me that they are great cars and that in all of his years, he has only seen a turbo fail once.

He encouraged me to buy it.

I've never really heard of a turbo failure on an RDX. They're pretty much awesome-proof!

Lock actuators... Yeah, that's a problem, as well as the backup camera. Both were going crazy the other day.

I think my BOV is having issues. Hearing the dreaded compressor surge when letting of the throttle. It has to go one more week to see service. Gonna have to baby it!

Been six months. LOL.

BOV is fine. 10K+ miles and no issues.

AC went out in April, fixed it. AC went out again last week.

Quick Reply: 200,000 miles! I did it!!!!!!!
