2.9% financing from Acura on RDX?

I saw that Acura is offering their 2.9% finance rate for MDX. Did anyone get that special on their RDX? Will any dealer allow 2.9% on a RDX?

Where did you see this? I saw 6% for 36 months financing for the RDX and Marketing Incentives for the 2006 MDX on Edmunds, but did not see a 2.9% deal. Let me know. We are looking at the RDX. Jay

i will double check today, but as far as i know....2.9% financing is offered through Honda Financing on certified pre-owned Acura TL's & MDX's. depending on your credit score of course....super preffered gets 2.9%.

If Acura is still at 50% of goal come Jan 1, they'll most likely offer low financing rates and aggressive lease terms. With 40,000 of these to sell, they'll need to get hopping before the 2008 models start rolling off the line.

There is definitley not a 2.9% deal now; it's 6.06% for 24 or 36 months. Not so hot.

I keep wondering if I should wait longer to buy. Right now, I can get the RDX for invoice, and hopefully a decent (fair) amount for my trade. I happen to qualify for a guaranteed trade program through Subaru, and was hoping the Acura dealer could match that price or come close. Then the remaining factor will be financing. I am used to rates in the range of 2.9%-4.9% over 36-60 month periods, respectively. Right now Acura is not even close to having competitive rates. Sure I could just take whatever rate is available, but that's a lot of extra interest and I can't say having the RDX *now* is worth the long term expense. I can wait a couple more months. If they did have a 2.9% deal, however, I would buy today!!

The 2.9% APR Acura is offering is for Certified Pre-Owned TLs and MDXs years 01-06.

Acura is giving great dealer incentives for new 06 MDX's. $3000 for the loaded ones.

I got 2.9% on my RDX for 36 months from my dealer at the end of October. He called me a few days before my car was to be in to tell me they were about to start offering a financing special and to see if I wanted to apply.

Thats a sweet deal. Was that through AHFC or another company?

I'm surprised that they are even advertising 6.06% as a "special" rate now.

WOW - I hope that is true. I got a dealer quoting me invoice and at that rate the RDX is starting to look more desirable for us.

When is it going to start? I do not see this listed anywhere yet.

Yes, it was through AHFC. I'm surprised that no other dealers seem to be offering it.

c_hunter, i made a deal on a rdx on monday. i asked for this & they told me that it excluded the rdx. are u sure? can dealers decide not to offer to certain customers despite their credit (i.e. they feel the deal is discounted already)?

Well he did say it was out today, so if you purchased on monday, you missed it by 2 days...maybe contact your dealer and see if there is anything they can do about it.

I simply copied and pasted from the Acura website, under the RDX section. It just showed up today (as you said it would). So why didn't you wait until the 22nd?

The deal would be available to any customer with qualifying credit scores. The financing is from AHFC and would be independent of the negotiated sale price.

Cool, yeah, you are OK. You don't normally settle on finance terms until you hit the business office anyhow!

So what trim level and color are you getting? Were you able to get a good discount? I got them down to invoice on a base model, but they are still lowballing the trade....

C_H,

I traded in my 2002 SUBARU 2.5 RS when I bought mine last week and waived the "Subaru Guarantee Trade In" offer in the dealer's face and got him to come up on the trade. Sub was offering $9750, Acura offered me $7400 at first, saw my offer and came up to $8500. Remember though that the when you exercise the Guaranteed Trade In with Subaru they won't be as flexible on the price of the new car. I negotiated a good price on the RDX so I didn't lose any sleep on the $1250. Where are you located? I may be able to refer you to my dealer.

I also have a Guaranteed Trade letter for my 05 Outback XT -- for $20350. The Acura dealer offered $16500. CarMax would do $18800. But the Acura dealer pretty much told me they couldn't budge. I think they decided selling the RDX at invoice ate their normal profit, and they want to make it up on the trade.

The thing is, I have $2K in Subaru bucks and can get an 07 XT for $1K under invoice (= $29K). Combined with the trade offer, the new Subaru is looking very compelling financially (or just stick with my 05 longer, which makes the most sense). I need the RDX to be a compelling deal, otherwise I can wait. I like the RDX a lot, but don't want to get one unless it's a reasonable deal all the way around.

I was in the dealer today, and AHFC is now giving 4.9 on the RDX, as well as some other models.
