16k miles, B1 popped up, shouldn't the differential service have occured by now?
My RDX just passed 16k miles, driven in reasonable conditions - but the B1 just popped up. Since most people here have changed their at 12-15k, I am thinking that switching to the Hondata might have reset the mileage (even though I switched back).
So I'm thinking of doing it anyways.

here is the input...I was told when I complained that mine came "too early", that it's different for everyone and it depends on driving style, terrain, traffic, etc. So you may be okay....But if it has not come yet, it will soon thereafter, so do what you want and take advantage that you have the car in for service and get it done.
As for the hondata thing, I have no clue how does that affect the service reminders....I know that the differential thing is not done by mileage though.

The first time I installed Hondata, my oil life went to 100% right off the bat (it was at 50% or so). I took it out immediately and swapped it back in later when my oil life was at 15% prior to a change so I could reset it. This time, it read 15% like the stock one did. Drove it for a bit and realized my Acura remote start did not work with it, so I took it out. Just this week, the stock ECU was back at 15%, I swapped it back in to check if it reads the same, and it did. So it seems like the first time was the only time the reading was different.
A bit odd. I just want to make sure I change it at the right interval.

Just FYI...
A Replace just the engine oil.
B Replace the engine oil and the oil filter, rotate
the tires, inspect the front and rear brakes,
check the parking brake adjustment, and
inspect several other items listed in the O/M.
1 Rotate the tires.
2 Replace the air cleaner element, check the
drive belt, and replace the dust and pollen
filter.
3 Replace the transmission fluid and transfer
fluid (if equipped).
4 Replace the spark plugs, replace the timing
belt (if equipped), inspect the water pump,
and inspect valve clearance.
5 Replace the engine coolant.
6 Replace the rear differential fluid

My wifes just came on about a week ago. WTF? It seems extremely early. This car rivals our Audi in terms of maintenance expense and costs tons more than my 911.
I'm also annoyed that the tech pkg does not include RDS capability. My 2001 Audi and 2005 Porsche have it and neither has anything close to what this tech package should.
What are you guys paying for the diff fluid change at the dealer?
