11 rdx AC Stinks!

my ac stinks when I turn it on when not used for several hours.


anyone know how I can get the cleaner spray in for good clean effect?


or a good way to fix this?

I did already. when I turn the heat on theres no smell.


only when I turn the ac is when it smells

I wouldnt spray anything. most times, the liquid messes something up behind the vents.


technically; you're supposed to turn off the A/C a few miles before you reach your destination. this will dry out the condensation that has built up in the vents

you can try activated charcoal to help get rid of the smell.

yea I read that before. but its a horrible smell. like mildew or something

I use Fram CF10134 Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter ($15-$20, Amazon or Walmart). It has carbon and baking soda for reducing odors. I them for years in m MDX, RDX and TSX (same Part # for all 3 vehicles). I replace every spring since the price is not that high compared to preventing smell and pollen.

You might have to do some type of odor eliminator spray if the new filter doesn't do the trick (never tried these products).
