Wheel Spacer Pics

Hey CLer's,

Do you have any pics of 17/18/19 rims on our CL's with wheel spacers (5-15mm)? I just bought H&R 5mm fronts and 10mm rears (with extended studs) and want to see how flush spacers make the wheels on our cars. I did a search for it, but the pics are years old and won't display. I have 225/40/18, KYB AGX and neuspeed sport springs 1.75 F/ 1.5 R drop. I think user xxx had a similar setup. Also, Cocoa's car looks like he has spacers. Thanks in advance!

If I recall correctly, cocoa's car doesn't have spacers, fliplyricist1 went through a few sets of spacers, search for his threads

No spacers here. Went with a lower offset to widen the track base.

what does this mean? lower offset? IN the rims you have? Spacers was something i was thinking to to widen the wheel stance.

I've always wondered if these are particularly bad for the car.

spacers push the wheels out from rubbing or for brake clearance. it does also widen the wheel stance, but it also has the same properties as going with wheels that have lower offsets, so instead of throwing 10mm spacers on the 17x7 +55, you can get wheels that are 17x7 +45 for the same stance.

i've heard different things, but its usually recommended that you get extended lugs if you run spacers.

Oh.......thanks for the knowledge. Seems logical. But sometimes the rims you want won't have those offsets, right? So you may need the spacers?

yeah pretty much. you can get away with 5-7mm without extended studs. some say 10. id be safe with 5-7.

most legit quality spacers above 5mm come with the extended studs on them. kinda like an adapter.

or you could buy extended ones and have them pressed on.

extended studs are hella cheap. just hard to put on.

I broke a stud one time and put the new one in by hand. It was kind of a bitch though basically tapped it in and then used the lug to pull it the rest of the way.... it's been a year now so far so good.
