i got a pair of junkyard tires that came off a freshly crashed car they start with the numbers 215.. what is the difference between that and our tires.. does that mean i need to have a bigger offset.. no worries if not, we got the tires for free. it will just be a resell.
215 is the width of the tire
it would relate to the width of the rim
offset has nothing to do with any of that.
usually you can fit tires that are a little wider or a little skinnier, they just won't have the same fitment as the stocks. they'll look almost thicker and stick out from the rim a little more.
i'd rather go with the factory tire width tho, and just sell those to someone else. that's just my
and i'm sure some others will chime in a little bit with their opinions too

^^ exactly, if you are mounting back on stockies keep the OE specs cause from what i remember, acura wheels are only 6" wide instead of 7" wide like aftermarket product and even the 205/55s look way too wide.
You would not necessarily need a larger offset, but I am sure there is somewhere that will tell you max width for our cars.
I have always been skeptical on used tires, sell the damn things.
