Rim size for stock height 2.3 CL

Quick question for the tire and rim gurus -

I wanna put winter tires on my stock rims would you guys recommend the standard tire size for winter tires 205-55-r16?

As well, I'm looking to get a set of summer rims, what rim / tire size would you recommend for a stock height 2.3?

Thanks for everyones

i just got 205 50 16 on my winter rims and i like them better than the 55's. Less sidewall, thinner tires and looks better when i slam the car

Good to know...

What do you ride on in the summer? I'm also looking for a summer tire and wheel combo that'll do well on my stock height 2.3.

I think my winter snow tires for the CL were 255-55-16 the first number is just width of the tred, but yeah you want 55 for stock thickness

Do you think the 18s will work ok for a stock height CL? What's a good rim and tire size in this case?

I'm not looking to spend money to lower the ride but I do need a set of dedicated winther and summer wheels and tires.

well then get some steel wheels and winter tires. you can save yourself some money by going 15's for the winter. for winter anything from 92-2002 4 cylinder accord wheels would work, you can get some online used pretty cheap. check you local newsgroups or craigslist. if your not planning to lower your car, keep the stock wheels for summer, do no get rims without a drop, it looks nasty

My stock rims are pretty stot anyway which is why I was thinking about using them in the winter months......

What if I stick to a 16" rim without getting a drop.. Will it still look bad? I was thinking of maybe going to 17s, no bigger than that.

Personally, I think if you're riding at stock height then you should be riding on stock-sized wheels. It looks best to me.

These are the winter tires that I've got (and I need to put on my car soon since I almost slid off the road last night on the snow).
