has anyone tried the MEGAN COILOVER

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Megan Coilover like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT . I know it says they are for a 94-97 accord but the teins say the same ones for the acura fits the 94-97 accord as well. It looks like there is more adjustments on these than there are on the teins basic's and was wondering what everyone thought about them

couldn't find much information on the 1st gen part of the forum but found some in other areas. I think I am either going to go with the megans or the Function Form coilovers. I am not wanting to slam the car and since I have had a few back surgeries dont really want a real stiff ride either. Have read nothing bad about the Function Form coilovers but none of them say if they are talking about the type1's or type2's. With the megans it seems some people experience that one bolt coming lose and others don't and with teins it seems they squeak (which would drive me crazy). Does anyone have any idea which Function Form coilovers everyone is talking about, Type 1's or type 2's?

most people get the type 1's cuz they're cheaper, the type 2's are way better though

Tein's are suppose to be one of the comfiest coilovers from what I hear, so if your on a toss up with them, they might be a good option to go with since you have back problems. I know lawlergaggorz on here has Megan coilovers that he recently put on. Hopefully he can chime in.

I have back problems, and went through a few stiffer sets of coilovers before settling on Tein which is the only ride that I can tollerate

The Tein's ride nice because they have the softest spring rates. Like I said in Nodnarb's thread, you can get custom rate Eibach ERS springs for the Type 2's or you can buy the Type 2.5's which already have the Eibach springs. You just have to state which spring rate you want when you place your order. I believe they go as low as 300 lb/in.

Just by looking at the Ksport, D2, F&F, Megan design, it looks as though they all come out of the same factory in Taiwan. They all go extremely low if you remove the preload. Just keep in mind that going low with no preload and/or using soft Eibach spring rates will cause you to bottom out the suspension.

It's not the coilovers that squeak, it's the bushings because of the different load. My car started squeaking, I replaced the bushings and it went away.
