There are two independent locking perches on a threaded collar. You just spin them independently from one another and when the desired position is achieved, you spin the second perch until it's tight with the first perch.

You don't need to take the tire off, but you do need to jack up the car.

ive never had coilovers, but i do know you have to jack it up. i mean that part is pretty much common sense if youve ever seen one. whether or not you have to take the wheel off, i dont know. but they are made so that they lock up with the weight of the car. ive seen a mag advert with a car jacked up and a guy adjusting his coilovers(he also had the wheel off but i dont know if its necessary).

just jack up the side of the car that you want to adjust and have the wrenches and a can of WD40 ready to slick that shiet up. Use those wrenches to loosen and tighten them up because otherwise you will tear your hands up and using a screwdriver and a hammer just doesn't cut cake.
