well saturday i spent all day putting some coilovers on my car. they are for sale here if anyone wants to buy them.

i just paid 500 for these barley used coilovers...i put them on my car, and i thought it was all fine...WRONG




i put them on my car, but i forgot one thing...i didnt ask if i could get them...parents came home...and bam....they said they didnt want me to spend anymore money on my car, sience i just baught a radar and a TV, and its their car...blah blah blah but i had my car all taken apart in the driveway. i only got the frount ones on, but is slammed them and they look HOTT!!! BAD IDEA well long story short, im now selling these for 450 for the set...thanks for listening to me bitch

ok, sorry to stray off topic a bit, but how difficult was it to install those? I'm getting coilover soon and have absolutely no experience with installing shocks? did you need any special tools? hard? yes/no?

well that does suck. well i'm sort of in the same position as you but my dad would help me put them on only if i bought them. but right now i don't have the money. ever since my dad saw minchoo's car he liked it and wanted to do it to mine so i'm good.my dad is a car guy so....i can do whatever i want as long as it's clean, classy, and can be replaced with stock when i sell it in the future. well good luck i just need money, ineed to get a new job and start saving for mods.

i hate to be the old man... but if your parents arent as stupid as you think they are, and they notice the coilovers on...they may take away the car all togather. with that said... what kind of coilovers are they? the mods dont want you to post alink to anything so just gimme the brand. or post a pic of them. that sucks man. i remember when i chopped the springs on my nissan pulsar.. my dad was pissed...then when i showed up to the house with some "new wheels on" and my mom was like "whered you get those?" and i said i bought them from this kid from school for 500$. i really should have thought that answer thru cause i worked at winn dixie as a bagger... and i was still payin on my pulsar.

damn that sucks, it looks so much better slammed. I was kinda in the same situation. My parents paid for part of my car and I had my springs sitting in the garage. little did my dad know it was the stock springs because I had already lowered it. He told me not to mess around with the car because I didnt know what i was doing. The other day he goes "Did you lower your car? it looks awefully low" I respond with "Sure is " Seems as though he doesnt really care anymore

Just put them back on. Shit, who is the car's driver you or your parrents? I don't understand that at all, if you already bought them, you aren't spending any more money. If you sell them, you wasted all that effort for a 4x4. Sorry. your car looked hot slammed. oops, I mean your parrent's car looked hot slammed.

I guess I am another old guy because if one of MY kids (have (3) 16,18,19) pulled that crap they would be on the bus. Try reasoning with your parents or wait until they give you permission. I am sure they aren't just being jerks but have a logical reason for telling you to stop spending on the car.

Just my perspective as a parent with teenagers.

I'm gonna have to agree with e30cabrio. sure you MIGHT get away with lowering it, BUT if they find out they might take away the car altogether. I know my mom is kinda pissed that I keep spending so much money on my car, BUT since the car IS partially under my name they can't take it away. HOWEVER if I don't do what they want still they can cut off any and all funds coming from them (paying half of my car insurance, and access to my college fund account). You gotta trust them, to let them trust you.
