205 / 50?? / 16 tires on my CL??
Hi, summer is here and I need to buy new tires (for summer AND winter). Summer is no problem (I'm looking at Nexen 3000 - 215/45/17) but I'm more interested in buying some snow tires for next year (just because some guy has a used pair).
I can get a pair of Michelin X-Ice 205/50/16 for my stock rims. Now this isn't the factory size, so I was wondering what problems could arrise from using this size of tire? Would this have much impact on my odometer and speedometer?
Thanks.

I dunno how much exactly but it will have a little effect on the speedometer
if you wanna do something like this id go to 225/50/16, its about equal to stock in terms of speedometer difference, and the wider tire means better grip in any condiion

I just picked up some Nexen 3000 (215/45/17) for $520CDN installed and balanced. I've heard decent reviews on these ("budget") performance tires so I hope they are okay.

Our rims are only 6 inchs wide so there is going to be alot of play in the sidewalls when cornering with 225. Also they are a heavier tire.
205 50 16 is a shorter diameter giving a slight increase in acceleraton and quicker turn in .
