Where does this go?

well i removed everything from the console and radio section of my 97 2.2 and am in the process of putting everything back together. This is where i need some help. i hooked everything up "clock;hazards;lighter;radio;climate control" Everything works fine except the light to the ashtray and the green circle light around the lighter. I realize this is why i'm not getting light down there but where does this plug into?

From: is everything.
I believe that is the heated seat plug. That other harness in the pic should be the one for the cig lighter and whatnot. if you have blanks next to the shifter, that is where that plug goes... into a dummy socket.

I appreciate your reply. You are correct the other one does connect to the lighter but as far as the one in question...my car does not have heated seats and there is no blank socket next to the shifter" i've even taken the shifter out! I know where all the surrounding plugs go but i cannot find this one.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of the diagram?

even if u dont have the heated seat you still have the wiring. All of the cls have the wiring for all the other options, whether you have them or not. No foglights? You still have the wiring in the car for it. Same for the heated seats, mirrors, and etc. And if you look at your shifter with the console in place, on the left and right of it you will see blank plates. These little rectangular peices of plastic are where your switches for those options would be. Tehvine is saying your mystery plug is for one of those things.

heated seat or wheel sound, either way its options the car doen't have, but the wires are there. i just had my console apart and was wondering about the same plug, could'nt find a plug for it and never unplugged it so i tucked it in a safe place for later.

Ay you got a f20 motor with a f22 tranny and a h series tcu! Did you have to do some harness re wireing or just change the clips at the silinod? Whats a boomslang converted obd-1?

I got a f23 CL and want to put a automatic 95 f22 vtec tranny in cause the f23 tranny is a Think it will work? I got the tcm but i dont want to swap the whole harness out idk if it will plug in directly yet I don't want to have my check engine light on either (OBD1-2 Diff in tranny sensors). Any advice?
