everytime i punch the accelerator a little my cl 3.0 makes this loud whistling noise untill i take my foot off the gas. it starts whistling after second gear if im switching gears at about 4000rpm.

is this a problem or do i need a tune up and if not, then how do i know that i need a tune up?

 

might come from your speakers...I had grounding problems before and it made a whistling noise out the car's speakers. If you have a sound system then I reccomend using a 4 guage ground wire for your amp.

 

The dreaded engine noise. I hate that. put your head down next to the speaker and step on the gas (while the car is in park please) and listen for a whistle...

You will get that on an aftermarket system that is not properly grounded.

i found out that its from the lack of ATF. when i drained it today i had only half a quart come out. its scary. thank god i decided to give myself an early oil change
