Unhappy tranny...

so im a complete retard when it comes to my cars... last night my tranny started slipping and first thing i did was check the tranny fluid. oh no i have almost none in it, so i got a ride to the store and bought some tranny fluid and some motor oil. i make a makeshift funnel and grab a bottle started pouring it into the tranny fluid dipstick thingy, and i realize i had the wrong bottle i was pouring motor oil into it...

thats why i dont work on my own car, i poured half a quart of motor oil into my transmission. now my car is in the shop im looking at 60 for the tow, 120 for the flush, and possible 3g's for a new tranny...

i feel like a complete retard right now..

my tranny is going too but you could seriously hurt someone coasting it on a busy street. i was gonna leave mine (on fire) on a sidestreet in newark or drive it off a bridge.jk

sorry to hear about the tranny,it sux,im waiting for mine to go.(anytime now)

i <3 my CL i swear i do, but i would <3 even more to get out of my loan for it. i owe 7500 on it, it has 130k miles on it, and i would be lucky to get 5gs for it... if i could get out of the loan without losing thousands i would go buy a 06 lexus or a new tsx....

Take it easy on the new transmission. You should kind of baby it for the first 500 miles or so. You don't want to create excessive wear on the internals.

Also, when you bought the transmission fluid, what did you buy. You can use the DOT 3 stuff long enough to get it to a shop in a pinch, but I hope you bought Honda ATF. If you didn't, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. It sounds like you tranmission was done for... But had it not been, that could have been a very costly mistake, motor oil not withstanding.
