Timing Belt Service!?
Timing Belt Service!?
Its time to chance my timing belt...the dealer seems expensive. Has anyone had their timing belt service by a dealer recently? If so can you tell me what exactly they did? Maybe read it off the recipt and post here? I need the entire list of things they changed with the service so I can go around and look for a better deal. Thanks for the help.

The dealership wanted around $1200 to just do the timing belt itself. I found the needed parts: timing belt, drive belts (standard and power steering), tensioner, idler, water pump and gasket, two cam seals (for the V6) and the crank seal for $300 shipped from drive wire, and my local shop charges 5 hours labor at around $65, so $625 including the water pump. Good Year quoted me $900 with their inflated labor and parts mark up.
