thud when turning

my car makes a progressive thud or slap sound when i turn to the right. the faster i go, the faster the thud, the harder i turn, the louder and faster the thud.
anyone have an idea what this could be?

fyi: tires are fine, may need balance... Could be u joint or bearing from what a guy in the shop at my work told me.

anyone know prices as well

cv joint on the drive axle. go under the car and look to see if the rubber boot is cracked or broken.

take it in b4 it locks up on you.

Definitely what Chinismo said. It definitely sounds like a CV joint. If you let it go untouched, you'll end up locking up the wheel and doing a lot of damage, especially for a relatively cheap (but tedious) part to replace.
