Hey everyone

So I was driving to day and I tried opening my sunroof and it wouldn't open. It flips up, but it doesn't ope. I know it's not the mechanism because it was trying to open but it just seems to be stuck. I flipped it up so I can look to see if there was anything stuck around the tracking but didn't see anything. Anyone have any suggestions of anywhere else anything could be stuck? I opened the sunroof all the way when I drove it last night. And it was open while I was driving on the freeway. So I guess anything is possible. But today it doesn't open, it just the flip up that's working and it tries to open when I'm pressing the button.

same thing happened to mine. all i did was try to open it at the same time having someone else pull up (or push up) on the roof. it opened then and since then i havent had a problem. you mightve tried this already but if not, go for it

 

Same thing is happening to mine. It will crack up but it will not go down enough to slide into the roof. Anyone have a definite fix?

 

do you have the moonroof wrench? If you can open it manually, you should look at the relay or possibly the switch.

Also, you need to take a good look at something being jammed in the track, it doesn't take much at all to stick in the track.

You could remove the glass, I have the instructions if you want them. I would suggest a helper with that though.

it comes with your owners manual. You can always take off the plug and find a suitable bit to put in there.

The cover plug is on the headliner towards the rear glass.
