So my cars been acting funny..id shut if off, try pulling out the key and itd be locked inside. For some reason it would take a while to come out so i would have to jiggle it a while to get it out. That wasnt that bad, but than I tried getting starting the car and the key wouldnt even turn to the first click to turn on the radio and everything. So i had to get my car towed to a shop. I rocked the steering wheel and everything and the key still wouldnt come out. I'm hoping its not too expensive of a fix. any ideas? this happen to anyone else?

 

sounds weird, never really heard of that. I had something similar happen but then i rocked the steering wheel and fiddled with it and it turned

 

its happened to me................but in different cars.

 

Man, I wished there was more that I could have done over the phone. It sounds like the brake pedal button or the ignition switch. Sucks you couldn't get her to start, my truck didn't start when I started her this afternoon

 

yea that might be the steering wheel, or your car might not be sensing its on part unless its a manual. That happened to me a couple times and i was to pull back the shifter and put it back in part and it worked. I also heard that if there's a lot of weight on the key chain and it pulls down on the key while its running it might mess up the ignition. Those are just some of things i can think off, but yea see how it goes and let us know. good luck with everything

 

oh well, its at the shop. they're going to try getting a used switch to make it cheaper and we'll see how that goes. Either way my security system and shit will need to be reprogrammed or whatever anyway. Hopefully it'll be done by the end of the week.
