strut and spring assembly

When the strut and spring assembly wear out, do they sag? Is it natural to see brand new struts slightly longer than the old ones?

wore out springs will cause the sag, shocks are more of the ride quality. when buying new after market strut and shock there may be a slight differnce in langth, but if it's 6inch differnce then i would say you have the wrong ones.

The quick-strut assembly available from some online retailers for '97 3.0 CLs look significantly different from the actual ones. Anyone? Thanks.

They shouldn't be more than I would say an inch longer. Realistically, if they're not the same length-wise then you might have gotten the wrong part. Don't forget you can buy struts for a 94-97 accord as well.

hmm... I did get the wrong part then. The one for 94-97 Accord V6 is really what goes into my 3.0CL, with long and thin coil springs.
