Still sticking after new Slave

So I did the infamous slave cylinder replacement on Christmas eve. How fun

Anyways, I bled the system, and let it pump out the air and everything, but I still have it not hit any pressure until about half way.

Is this fairly normal for these cars to engage? Or am I just looking at an air pocket or low clutch?

Really? Is that normal then?

I feel like I need a new clutch. Should it not engage right away???

most clutches that are hydraulic do not engage down at the floor like the adjustable clutches used to back in the old days where you could set them to release anywhere you wanted to
