SRS code 1-2

I've had my SRS light on for a while and finally got the code today and it's 1-2, which is apparently "Increased resistance in driver's airbag inflator". Does anyone know what actually needs to be done to fix that? My radio controls on the wheel kind of work at random depending on how my wheel is angled at times...would my SRS issue possibly be related to the clockspring behind the wheel that all the wires go into since the radio buttons don't work either? Or does the resistance in the inflator mean something a little more simple?
