what's the best recommended oil weight for a 97 acura 2.2cl f22b1 automatic? 170xxx miles ....also i want to change tranny fluid to keep this tranny running great how it is now but i had a couple people beg me not to even try changing it because supposely its bad for auto trannys,they say it would start to slip! you guys know more about the cl's so give me recommendations ! if i do change whats the best auto tranny fluid for the f22b1? thanks tons

i run 5w30 due to the freezing temps here in the winter....even if there werent freezing temps 5w30 would still be a good choice. as far as the tranny issue is concerned people say dont change it IF ITS ALREADY SLIPPING. if its behaving normally i wouldnt hesitate to change it. hope this helps.

 

nice info thanks !! i had a issue today......car has been running fantastic ever since the egr clean up! today i hit the pedal down to the floor to see its potential! it felt like 2 sec late of response....but ran great ! then later on i drove agin(about 30min ago)and when i let go of the gas to just cruise it was surging a bit from like 2 & half rpm DOWN to 1rpm...kinda wiered like it wanted to down shift. then i stopped at a gas station put it on park and it started surging from 1rpm to 2rpm for like 30 sec and then it stopped! any clues? iac valve? maybe the egr passages a bit dirty from the inside? a bit of dirt did go inside a bit when i was unclogging it cause i forgot i needed a vacuum to suck out dirt! let me know ASAP PLZ !!
