Ok so I searched all the CL forums I could to see if anyone had a solution to my problem and I couldn't find it anywhere. I've got a stock '99 3.0. For some reason I have something buzzing in the back of my car and I believe it's my rear driver side speaker. The guys at the dealership haven't been able to find anything but one of them said that he heard something about the speaker's cones being defective. Being that I really don't feel like paying 32 bucks plus installation for the same speakers I was wondering if someone could help me in one of two ways: 1) Is this really my problem? I read something on this forum that it may be something else but it didn't really make sense to me. or 2) If the speaker is the problem, I'd rather just get some new speakers. Can anyone then help me pick some good speakers and possibly a head unit? I don't know if I want to get top of the line stuff, just a good system that sounds nice and crisp.

ya there is a bulletin with the recalls about the speakers buzzing *no it is not a recall just a 'customer might like to know' thing*

 

No offense, but I don't really care about the other posting. All I care about is getting that damn buzzing out of my car. Now all I really want to do is get new speakers and head unit and I'm hoping that SOMEONE on this message board is willing to help me. Hell, if someone would just give me the specs and measurements of the electrical and size of head unit and speakers I'll do the research myself. I'm just looking for some help from some fellow CLers

 

I'm assuming you have the blose system. The speakers do really suck, I blew both of my rear 6x9's. As far as head units, they are a standard single dim size, you will need a mounting kit for honda/acura but they are pretty standard, as well as a wiring harness adapter for a honda/acura. If you are getting new 6x9's, don't go beyond 2.25" mounting depth or you will have problems.

 

okay, what i am saying is your fucked, speakers are a know issues they were made that way, get the hell over it or buy new ones
