From: FL,
Pinstripe under clear coat?

Is it possible that for some reason my pinstripe is under the clear coat or a coat of some sort?

All my pinstripes pealed rite off except the back on the driver side.

I tried to scrape it off a little bit and it looks like a coat is chipping.

Can anyone help?

I can supply pics if needed.
Sorry if there is already a thread about this. I couldnt find one.

interesting, but unless the stripe was actually painted and not a vinyl of some sort.. it shouldnt be under clear coat. its possible that if it was in the sun, the clear coat adhered to the pin stripe and thus its all sticking together?

hmmm... idk much about the factory options, but it may have been possible to get factory pin stripes, in which case, they would be under the clear coat.. thats the only thing that makes sense to me, unless the car was repainted, or the pin stripes were done professionally and they shop that did them were clear coated

well, you can get color matched touch up paint, cover it, then use a clear coat and buff it out to normal looking
