I drove around for quite a bit, stopping and going with no problems what so ever. I drop off my kid at school, I remote start it like always turns to crank then stops at half crank. I cancelled the remote start, locked and unlocked with alarm and key. Tried starting it, everything dies and after holding the key to start for a while, the starter will do a 1/4 turn then nothing, once in a while it will click. Oh I was also trying to jump during all of this. I assume I have a bad starter but just want to get feed back. Thanks for any info and yes I did hit the search button.

 

Unless the contact points from the battery to the starter are corroded and/or loose, it sounds like a bad starter. Had the same issue. It was due to the worn copper contacts inside the starter. If you are DIY and have an hour, you can replace the copper contacts for about $20. Otherwise you have to replace the starter.
