Ok! I just had my 97 knuckles changed out to a 98 setup! Including new upper and lower ball joints, hub and bearing assemblies, and pads (rotors were decent) The reason I did this was a grinding noise in front end that I was told by a shop was the wheel bearings. Now with everything done and together, I am still hearing a grinding noise! What else could it be? It's almost like a dragging noise in the front end. Thanks in advance!

 

check the plates behind the rotors, if those get bent, they could grind

 

It was the dust shields afterall! I forgot about this post and just saw it now lol! Now have a noise only in the front right that could be the differential i'm being told. On acceleration you don't hear it, but coasting it's loud and seems to be consistant with wheel speed. Any ideas?

The boot is ripped, but wasn't making any noise before. I guess that very well could be the issue. Will find out and post! Thanks!
