Low/old battery = low power ??

Low/old battery = low power ??

I've done near everything to my car and it has no check engine light or nothing really wrong with it but my current battery is 2 years old and a half & it just feels in need of power....car starts fine but my clock randomly works/my left hid light goes on and off randomly and my batt post skinny already too , i had to use shims for my post's. car feels kinda weak !!! weak battery??? THANKS ALOT

could be the batt., never hurts to upgrade but you said you got a post shimed, it dosent fit right? that could/most likely is the problem. you need good clean grounds and nice tight solid, clean connections. you might have to change terminals but thats easy, if you do get brass or gold.

installed the new batt ! the only difference i felt ( and its gonna sound wiered ) is that believe it or not i dont hear the knock sound i heard before accelerating slowly to 3k rpm on park.....now that small knock sound is gone !!!

new post terminals with the wires cleaned couldnt hurt, sand the grounds. try checking all the connections to the alternator, distributor, coil, ect,ect. if they are loose or dirty could affect electrical performance.
