Looking to buy

HI. I am a new member and looking to buy a 1st gen CL. Anyone have any adivce what to look for. Wanting a 3.0 but will settle for 2.2. What is the best? What problems should I look for? Found decent 98 3.0 for 6g and a 97 2.2 for 5.

the 3.0 is a fun car to have man, but ya, the tranny slips and many are on the 2nd or even 3rd tranny.. so try to do some reserearch on em, some people go 100k+ on 1st tranny.. some dont..

Thanks for the heads up on the tranny issues. I have test drove about 3 2.2 and 3 3.0. All have high miles though. 120-140k. I know this is not a lot for the honda engines, but dont want to spend 6 to 7g and have to put another grand into it right after I get it. I am from OH. 97 and 98 3.0 going for about $6500 for premium versions.
