Cool locks / dome light / steering wheel

I know, I know ... wth kind of Title was that?!??!?!

Let me 'splain ...

Long story short, for about two weeks my 97 2.2 has been the subject of a strange happening ... that is, whenever I turn the wheel for a right turn, as I'm turning the dome-light comes on by itself, and then as I'm coming out of the turn and the steering wheel is just a hair from "center", the doors will unlock (again, on their own).

Now, I enjoy odd things like this and laugh - except it's my car doing it, which tempers my enjoyment a great deal.

Has anyone any idea what is causing the car to play Poltergeist, or better still (for me, anyway), has this happened to anyone before?

Thanks kindly - Adam

i'd say the wiring for your dome light and locks are loose.

Grounded wire somewhere . Likely look near your steering wheel . Any parts that move when your turning your wheel. More then likely under your dash in or around a wiring harness . Just turn the car on to run pull the bottom of the dash under the wheel and start pushing and jerking wires around. If it happens then slowly problem solve until you find the wires that are grounding or shorting. If thats not it its really possesed and you should call a priest . Good Luck
