When using the beeper and pressing unlock the drivers door unlocks, then the passenger door sometimes makes a mechanical sounding whine noise and doesn't unlock without being pressed 2-3 more times. Same thing happens when I try to lock the car. It doesn't lock the passenger door and makes the noise. It also doesn't chirp until the passenger door locks also so that is a good sign since I know to keep pressing lock. Anyone ever have this happen?

 

yea it happens on mine too. I think its the actuator dying.

Gotta love AZ I was going to post about this same issue. Mine does this on the drivers door though. It used to be that I could hit the button a few times and the door would open. It won't even do that now. So yours will eventually completely stop working.

So has anyone changed teh actuator out or know how to do it? I gotta fix mine, I miss my power door locks. Manual locks FTL!

 

I have been trying to find a DIY on this for a few weeks. No luck on the CL, but found a few on other Acura models.

I have taken apart the door and just can't figure out which bolts, screws, etc to take out to remove the actuator motor.

 

I hope it doesn't die

 

Did u ever get it fixed? because I have never had power locks since i have had the car. I want my power locks back so bad. I went the the dealershit and they said its just the remote, so i paid 37$ for a new remote and it still didnt work. so i gave up went home and just threw my single key on a lanyard and called it a day. And now the only way to lock the driver door is to manualy push the lock to lock, or lock it with the key on the outside. The swith only locks and unlocks the passanger door.
